Panorama Chosen as a Selected Partner to Join Launch of SQL Server Codenamed “Denali” Platform

TORONTO (July 12, 2011) – Panorama Software, a global leader in proactive Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, today unveiled its plans to extend Microsoft’s next-generation SQL Server data platform (codenamed “Denali”). SQL Server codenamed “Denali” will include enhancements to Analysis Services, Reporting Services, and more.

The next version of SQL Server Analysis Services introduces the BI Semantic Model, a single model for Business Intelligence applications, from reporting and analysis to dashboards and scorecards, enabling users to have a consistent view of their data. The new platform capabilities will enable outstanding platform performance and flexibility in design.

“Microsoft is planning to release one of the biggest revolutions and innovations in BI with Microsoft SQL Server codenamed ‘Denali’,” said Mr. Azarya. “We see the BI Semantic Model as the future path for Microsoft in this space. We are one of the first partners to natively connect to the new Denali solution, and see our integration as a major competitive differentiator for Panorama, giving us the ultimate in-memory OLAP BI solution in the marketplace.”

On the day SQL Server codenamed “Denali” is released, Panorama will enable seamless integration and allow customers to connect to the BI Semantic Model , while still deploying just one set of BI applications to their users. This integration will mark a milestone in the BI industry, as Panorama is one of a few select partners who can offer a comprehensive business intelligence suite built on top of the SQL Server codenamed “Denali” data platform. Panorama’s solution provides all the benefits of Social Intelligence capabilities, Automated Relevant insights and advanced analytics combined with the added advantages of in-memory functionality and Necto’s powerful and intuitive user interface.

“We have invested a lot of time and effort developing SQL Server codenamed ‘Denali’, to seamlessly combine OLAP and in-memory capabilities,” remarked Bob Baker, Director, BI Strategy from Microsoft. “Panorama is taking major steps towards integrating Denali with its own comprehensive BI offering, and we expect them to continue to innovate new solutions to complement our technology. Panorama is part of a close ecosystem of our partners that are quickly signing up with us to support our considerable investments in BI innovation and Denali.”
