Panorama NovaView and Microsoft’s New Platform offer Affordable Scalability for Enterprise Customers

TORONTO (November 10, 2010) – Panorama Software, a global leader in proactive Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, today announced support of the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Parallel Data Warehouse through its flagship business intelligence solution, Panorama NovaView 6.2.

The solution allows Panorama NovaView users flexibility to natively connect to SQL Server 2008 R2 Parallel Data Warehouse and perform analysis on large enterprise data sets. Previously code-named project “Madison”, Microsoft’s new platform is a scalable appliance that uses massively parallel processing to deliver low-cost performance.

SQL Server 2008 R2 Parallel Data Warehouse supports large amounts of data. Panorama NovaView and SQL Server 2008 R2 Parallel Data Warehouse can both be quickly scalable to meet business needs, allowing fast data increases from tens to hundreds of terabytes. The system is also less expensive than other options, as it uses industry-standard hardware, and only requires additional capacity as data volume increases.

“Customers’ data needs never slow down, they simply grow and grow every year,” said Kobi Averbuch, VP Research & Development, Panorama Software. “Continuous data growth demands true scalability that is affordable and easily integrated. Our NovaView customers can now pull more value from their business intelligence data through this integration with Microsoft SQL Server technologies and SQL Server 2008 R2 Parallel Data Warehouse.”

“Panorama Software is innovating and adding value and functionality to the Microsoft platform of products,” said Sonny Ali, Senior Platform Strategy Advisor at Microsoft. “They are providing added services for our latest data warehouse technology. Business needs require scalability to handle massive amounts of data. Panorama is able to scale up hand-in-hand with Microsoft technology without any interruption.”
