Jaspersoft chosen to provide Hadoop reporting and analytics certification through Big Data University
SAN FRANCISCO (August 21, 2012) – Jaspersoft, maker of the world’s most widely used business intelligence (BI) software, today announced it will offer free training on BI for Hadoop through Big Data University, an online on-demand educational site established by IBM that delivers free and fee-based Hadoop and big data training courses. Jaspersoft training for Big Data University will enable companies to quickly and easily gain the reporting and analytics skills they need to better understand big data and improve business performance.
IBM created the online Big Data University as a vendor-neutral site to assist companies in getting the big data skills they need to manage and analyze large and complex data. While big data technologies like Hadoop are available to store and manage large data sets, many enterprises lack the necessary skills to fully use them, resulting in impediments to adoption. Big data management requires more than Hadoop skills, and the university offers additional courses in analytics, database and data integration.
