Embedded BI to provide key reporting and data analysis capabilities to infrastructure managers

SAN FRANCISCO (January 18, 2012) –  Jaspersoft, maker of the world’s most widely used business intelligence (BI) software, today announced that JasperReports Server is embedded in Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.0, generally available today. The integration of Jaspersoft’s technology into Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.0 brings powerful, easy-to-use reporting and analysis capabilities to enterprise IT administrators and service provider operation managers.

Building on its relationship with Red Hat, Jaspersoft analytics is a new core component added to Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.0, providing the ability to produce interactive reports, dashboards and ad hoc reporting and analysis. These capabilities are designed to help Red Hat virtualization customers better manage their virtualized environment from an inventory and performance perspective by analyzing historic usage trends and system utilization.

“Embedded BI continues to play an increasingly significant role in new products and services in the market, and we are excited to be part of Red Hat’s milestone 3.0 release as the reporting and analytics layer,” said Karl Van den Bergh, Vice President of Product and Alliances of Jaspersoft. “We believe that Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization customers will quickly gain new insights into their environments.”

“We’ve designed Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.0 to be a game-changing virtualization offering that delivers compelling performance, scalability and cost benefits,” said Navin Thadani, senior director, Virtualization Business at Red Hat. “It’s great to be working with Jaspersoft in helping our customers to optimize their virtualized environments with Jaspersoft’s embedded BI and analytic capabilities in Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.”
