After collaborating on solutions for MCCA, Vaud and Wonderbox, Jaspersoft and Optaros extend relationship

SAN FRANCISCO (October 22, 2008) –

JasperSoft Corporation, the market leader in open source business intelligence (BI), today announced it will extend its partnership with Optaros to meet increasing demand for integrated software packages that include the Jaspersoft business intelligence suite.

Together, the companies will deliver new value to BI customers by leveraging open source software to build the next generation of composite applications. Composite applications are an emerging class of business applications that offer new cross-functional benefits to customers.

To date, Jaspersoft and Optaros have successfully partnered on a variety of composite applications for customers around the globe, including an Event Management System for the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA). The companies have also developed a solution that tracks working conditions for the State of Vaud and a comprehensive e-commerce solution that supports life experience provider Wonderbox’s interactions with distributors and partners. Case studies on these deployments can be seen at the following links respectively: http://www.optaros.com/clients/state-vaud and http://www.optaros.com/clients/wonderbox.

“Increasing our collaboration with Optaros will prove to be very powerful,” said Brian Gentile, CEO of Jaspersoft. “Composite applications and mashups will only increase in popularity as companies look for ways to maximize their IT infrastructure in today’s business environment. Open source software supports this way of combining functionality, and our BI customers are asking for more.”

“Analytics and business intelligence play a large role in many of our client engagements at Optaros, and we find Jaspersoft’s open source BI solution ideal for many of them,” says Ramzi Saba, technical architect at Optaros. “The ease of integration Jaspersoft offers for our client applications has created a strong foundation for our partnership, and we look forward to expanding our work with Jaspersoft in the future.”
