SAP NEWSBYTE (November 18, 2009) – The SAP User Group for the Indian Sub-Continent (INDUS) will exhibit at SAP® TechEd 2009, being held in Bangalore, India, November 18 – 20, 2009. Launched last year, INDUS is now a vibrant user group comprised of SAP customers and partners. The user group will also hold its annual general meeting during SAP TechEd.

For the first time, the user group will not only be representing customers of the proven SAP business software portfolio, but also companies using SAP® BusinessObjects(TM) business intelligence solutions previously represented by the SAP Business Intelligence (India) Group (BIIG), which has now decided to integrate with INDUS and operate as Business Intelligence Special Interest Group (BI SIG) within INDUS.

In addition, the user group plans to introduce new local influence and benchmarking programs, as well as additional councils for CIOs and CFOs:

Influence Program

The program will help customers to be heard and make a difference in shaping current and future SAP solutions. As a part of the program, INDUS has also launched a Localization Influence Council. The council helps to provide global business practices with Indian tax compliance, supporting the various processing needs of an organization. As a part of this council, INDUS members will be able to provide input directly to SAP and influence the development of relevant solutions.

Benchmarking Program

INDUS and SAP India have collaborated to launch a benchmarking program that helps members compare their organization’s key performance indicators (KPIs) with best-in-class KPIs. This program provides customers a unique opportunity to compare their performance against that of their peers and other SAP users, understand the value of best practices, recognize how IT drives performance, and track value realization.

CIO and CFO Councils

INDUS also introduces new councils for CIOs and CFOs, which will provide a forum for candid role-based dialog between SAP and INDUS members about business challenges and opportunities.
