Boise State University Receives Grant of MicroStrategy Software to Teach Technology Course

Will Teach Best Practices in Business Intelligence Using MicroStrategy Software

McLEAN, Va., (September 24, 2002) –

MicroStrategy® Incorporated (NASDAQ: MSTR), a leading worldwide provider of business intelligence software, today announced that Boise State University has received a grant of MicroStrategy product licenses for use in teaching best practices techniques in business intelligence in the classroom. The grant will be used in the University’s School of Applied Technology to teach a course that will examine the fundamental concepts and theories relevant to business and information technology professionals in data warehousing.

This semester-long course will use MicroStrategy software and review competing data warehousing methodologies, best practice approaches and structures for planning and designing successful data warehouses, as well as project management pitfalls and success factors. The course will also examine data warehouse modeling, implementation and deployment techniques, as well as data quality planning.
